Last saturday I went to the STRP festival with some friends. Although we had to travel from one side of Holland (Groningen) all the way to the other side (Eindhoven) it was worth the trip. Perfomances by Tim Exile, Ceephax Acid Crew, Squarepusher and Venetian Snares rocked! Aphex Twin was a bit of a dissapointment. Had to miss out on a lot of installations since the room where the installations were was closed an hour earlier then planned. Modell 5 by Granular Synthesis was amazing. It’s a projection of 10 by 3,5 metres showing 4 portraits of the of Japanese performance artist Akemi Takeya. Her face is twisted an manipulated while the viewer is blown away with a wall of sound creating a very physical experience. Anyway, next friday we will travel to STRP again… this time less music and more art. Looking forward to it!

Thanx man! I seldom shoot at festivals cuz I want to party myself then. But it was fun shooting at STRP and I was lucky that I didn’t have to stay in line for the drink tokens and stuff.
